KOPERGIETERY temporarily puts her house in the artistic hands of someone else.
With a 'second chance' as an underlying framework, a few (inter)national makers/companies will take over our house at the end of April.

You can expect the work of the South African director Thando Doni. He created a very special performance with ex-gang members who are looking for a more hopeful way of life after their prison life: Phefumla (to breathe). We asked Thando during his stay in Ghent to work with some Ghent youth around 'a second chance'. He does this together with the Flemish theater maker Pascal Buyse. The result will kick-start the festival every day under the title 'Young Said'.

On Fridays and Saturdays we will organize – together with Relaas - a storytelling salon with real anecdotes told by ordinary people. The young Norwegian theater makers Marina Popović and Freya Sif Hestnes also come along with the theater experience There is a noise. On Saturday Theater STAP will present their new performance De Wereld, a sequel to the success performance De Bank. On Sunday we welcome the Norwegian/British company NIE (New International Encounter). NIE shares a unique view of the refugee problem with their moving theater performance We come from far far away.

On the final day we bring you Een bord vol verhalen (Dishes to remember), a special banquet with interesting stories by artists, musicians, philosophers and local people. Between the stories, the enthusiastic cooking team of Eetcafé Toreke (situated under KG RABOT) provides a delicious menu for the whole family.
