KOPERGIETERY

Between dream and reality,
between intimacy and aggression,
21 teenagers move across the stage.
Butterflies seem to move like wild bison,
whilst bison turn out to flutter sensually.

Just like chattering groups of teenagers in a playground, this young herd moves in surprising ways with one another, alongside one another and, above all, towards one another.
Who joins in?
Who stays on the sidelines?
Would you offer yourself to the wolf with the red roses?

A dance performance featuring 21 young people from KOPERGIETERY’s theatre workshops.

The performance premiered at the second edition of Volt FESTIVAL in April 2026, the festival where only performances featuring children and/or young people on stage are shown. The festival is organised by BRONKS, hetpaleis & KOPERGIETERY.

In ‘Kuddes’, the Kopergietery workshops showcase an exceptional interplay between young people – young bodies – with their desires and their hesitations. They set boundaries, yet are constantly testing them. The result is an almost wordless group choreography... Boys and girls face each other; sometimes they find each other, sometimes the parting is irrevocable. Axelle Verkempinck and Hendrik Lebon have fostered a sense of trust within this large group of twenty-one young people. They reward them with a bold spectacle.” PZAZZ, K. Tindemans
