FESTIVAL DIGITAL #3

We are going for it again! With Festival Digital, KOPERGIETERY investigates the interfaces between performing arts, technology and media and gives you a taste of these through (inter)national performances, installations, workshops and/or visual experiments. In this third edition, we focus on the physical versus the digital body.

#3 FROM SPACE TO BODY

Technology is increasingly becoming an instrument for experiencing the world differently. Our brain is constantly being fooled. Human 'devices' such as eyes and ears are subject to illusion. Virtual realities, artificial intelligence and immersive experiences are turning our human cosmos upside down. Is there still room for the 'physical' human body?  Can a computer create its own body?

Can you dance on data?
Can an algorithm also move?
Can we exist in a computer chip?
Are we the instrument of technology or is technology our instrument?
Where is the boundary between the digital and the physical, organic world?

During Festival Digital #3 we will have both real people and computer data moving, making music, conducting. Who will hold the baton?
